Thea Parent
Thea Parent has spearheaded legal operations for multiple companies and served as General Counsel for a technology startup. Offering a practical approach to legal representation, Thea negotiates solutions and provides strong representation when matters remain unresolved. A graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, Thea began her legal career as a Federal Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Stanley S. Brotman. Her tenure with the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and for the District Court of the Virgin Islands provided invaluable exposure to a diverse range of substantive and procedural law across two distinct judicial systems.
Ms. Parent has closed billions of dollars in real estate deals, company acquisitions, and related financings. Related to these transactions, Ms. Parent drafted and negotiated complex construction agreements for largescale development projects and facilitated land use and zoning, opportunity zone financings, property tax abatements and exemptions, and advised on regulatory issues.
Ms. Parent possesses in depth knowledge of the hospitality and technology industries, also advising clients on a wide range of matters from franchise agreements and management agreements, to leasing and technology agreements. Committed to community impact, Thea served on the board of trustees and provided pro bono legal counsel to MindLeaps, a nonprofit organization founded in Philadelphia. MindLeaps leverages dance to uplift at-risk youth by building a bridge to education and employment for children in under-resourced communities globally. Having made Philadelphia her second home, Ms. Parent is originally from Maryland. Thea is an avid cyclist having raced for Peanut Butter & Co. Human Zoom, enjoys tango dancing, teaches yoga (Rocket and vinyasa) and is a proud greyhound parent.
