Read Rachel’s mini-interview below to find out what has driven her to build career in law:
What inspired you to pursue a career in law?
I have wanted to be a lawyer since I was 10 years old. I would watch Law & Order reruns with my mom all day. Jack McCoy would dramatically walk around the courtroom questioning a witness and I knew someday I would want to do the same. Once I had gotten to law school, I knew I had made the right decision. I get to be an advocate for others and learn about the most important structure in our society, the law. It touches every aspect of a person’s life, yet far too little people truly know their rights. I am fortunate enough to be able to help others.
What law school course(s) or professional experience(s) was/were the most valuable to you?
My studies at Widener University Delaware Law School were extremely valuable. Specifically, the courses I took with professor Culhane my first year of law school. He had a big influence on my studies and the work I wanted to head into. I had both Torts I and II with him my first year. His expertise and guidance were extremely beneficial to my studies and my overall legal career.
At Siana Law, Ms. Sorokin currently focuses her practice in general liability matters. In her spare time, she enjoys going to Cyclebar, hiking, horseback riding, going to the beach, and dinners with friends. Welcome, Rachel!
