The Firm is pleased to announce that Siana Law Partner, Eric Brown, has become a Certified Mediator for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Brown was invited to become a certified mediator at the request of Chief Judge Matthew W. Brann. He was one of only 14 attorneys selected to be certified in the program this year. Earlier this month, he completed an intensive 17-hour training program in Scranton, PA required to become certified.
Mediation is a dispute resolution process used by the District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania as a means of resolving civil disputes. The process is used to promote better communication among litigants, explain the parties’ respective interests, and help develop options for settlement. When the Court determines that a case is appropriate for mediation, the judge and the parties will select a mediator from a list of certified mediators, which will now include Mr. Brown.
Congratulations, Eric!
